At Brown Computer Solutions we offer in store and on site service solutions. In store service is typically the most cost effective and fastest service solution. On site service is typically most effective in environments where there are multiple computers or complex configurataions that are not easily carried in for service.


Service Rates
In an effort to provide the most cost effective and fair prices, we've revised our service billing scheme. Instead of hourly billing, we charge flat fees that are outlined in our Service Menu which is downloadable below.

Loaner/Rental Computers
Loaners are provided free of charge for customers who have purchased a Mac and AppleCare on the same receipt from Brown Computer Solutions. Loaners are available to computers that were purchased elsewhere at a flat rate of $49.95 for the duration of the repair. Loaners are only provided when the computer is checked in for warranty or non-accidental service at Brown Computer Solutions, Inc. A deposit up to the full retail value of the loaner computer and accompanying accessories may be required. Loaner units are due by the second business day of first notification of repair completion. Units returned after the second business day of notification are subject to rental rates at published daily or weekly rates (whichever is lower).



Rentals are available at daily and weekly rates. We offer MacBooks at $49.95 per day or $139.95 per week. We offer a projector at $29.95 per day or $99.95 per week. We also offer a MacBook + Projector rental at $69.95 per day or $169.95 per week. Daily rentals picked up on Friday are due by close of business on Monday.

Customer may install software and drivers on loaner/rental MacBooks. Upon return all units are erased. Brown Computer Solutions is not liable for any data left on hard drives of loaner units. Customer must take reasonable care of rental/loaner unit. Any loss, damage or theft to loaner units will be charged to customer up to the retail value.

Brown Computer Solutions warrants that equipment is in good working condition at time of pickup. In the event of an equipment malfunction, customer should contact Brown Computer Solutions immediately. All repairs, upgrades and maintenance on loaner units is to be performed by Brown Computer Solutions only. Repairs not caused by customer negligence or misuse of equipment will be covered by Brown Computer Solutions. Repairs made necessary due to negligence or misuse will be charged to customer at Brown Computer Solutions service rates.
